COGNIS BRONZE INNOVATION AWARD
GIVEN TO WATERPOXY SYSTEM
Cognis has given its Bronze
Innovation Award to the team
responsible for developing three new
water-based epoxy systems for lowthickness
and high-thickness flooring
applications. The award-winning
Waterpoxy products provide environmentally
friendly high-performance
epoxy coating systems which deliver
outstanding concrete and metal protection
while complying fully with
the stringent terms of the European
Council directive on solvent emissions,
according to the company.
Waterpoxy 1455 is a solid epoxy
resin emulsion in water. Waterpoxy
751 is a water-dilutable solvent-free
curing agent for protective coatings
as well as for civil engineering, that
is virtually amine-free.Waterpoxy
751 is versatile, which allows it to be
formulated in primers, coatings and
medium thickness self leveling floorings.
Waterpoxy 1455 is used with
Waterpoxy 751 as an anti-corrosive
curing agent, an application for
which its combination of fast drying
times and excellent protective properties
make it particularly suited.
New Waterpoxy 760 curing agent
is used in high-thickness flooring
applications.
